
HudBay's accomplishments and performance have been possible through the dedication of the company's skilled and experienced management team along with a stable and dedicated workforce.
At December 31, 2009, HudBay employed 1,412 people in its Flin Flon and Snow Lake operations and its Winnipeg Head Office. In addition, the company employed 14 people at its Balmat mine, 84 employees at the Fenix Project in Guatemala, 59 people at the White Pine Copper Refinery, 39 people at Zochem, and 25 people in our Toronto head office, bringing the overall total to 1,633.

David Garofalo
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Garofalo joined HudBay as President and Chief Executive Officer and Director in July 2010. Previously, Mr. Garofalo served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer with Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited from 1998 and as Treasurer and in various finance roles with Inmet Mining Corporation from 1990. Mr. Garofalo was named Canada’s CFO of the Year by Financial Executives International Canada (2009), TopGun CFO by Brendan Wood International (2009 & 2010) and was given the IR Magazine awards for Best Investor Relations by a CFO (2009 & 2010) and Best Investor Relations by a CEO (2011). Mr. Garofalo is a graduate of the University of Toronto (B.Comm.) and a Chartered Accountant, and also serves on the Board of Directors of York Central Hospital Foundation and Malbex Resources Inc.

David S. Bryson, CFA
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Bryson joined HudBay in 2008 from Skye Resources Inc. where he held the position of Chief Financial Officer. He has an extensive background in corporate treasury and development having had a lengthy career at Terasen Inc. where he served as its Treasurer. Mr. Bryson holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Alan T. C. Hair, B.Sc (Hons)
Senior Vice President,
Business Development
and Technical Services
Since joining HudBay in 1996, Mr. Hair has held several management roles in the metallurgical plants and was appointed Vice-President, Metallurgy in 2004. Prior to joining HudBay, he was Smelting Manager at MIM's zinc smelter in Avonmouth, England. He graduated from the University of Leeds, England in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Mineral Engineering.

Tom A. Goodman
Senior Vice President,
and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Goodman is a graduate in Chemical and Metallurgical Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He has worked for HBMS for over 30 years in a wide variety of operational, technical, and management positions. Mr. Goodman is a graduate in Chemical and Metallurgical Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Mr. Goodman is a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum and the Minerals, Metals & Materials Society.

Ken Gillis
Senior Vice President, Corporate Development
Mr. Gillis joined HudBay as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development. Previously, Mr. Gillis served as Executive Director of Macquarie Canada’s North American Mining Investment Banking practice. He has a 20 year history of corporate development and related activities in mining, both with mining companies and financial and investment firms. Mr. Gillis has a background in geology, with a degree in Geological Science (BSc) from Saint Francis Xavier University and a Masters of Applied Science in Mineral Exploration from McGill University. He also obtained a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, from McGill.

Brad W. Lantz, B. Sc., (Hons) Earth Sciences
Vice President, Manitoba Business Unit
Mr. Lantz joined HudBay in 1987 and was appointed Vice President, Manitoba Mining in September 2011. During his career, Mr. Lantz has held positions of progressively greater responsibility at the Ruttan, Trout Lake, Callinan and 777 mines. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Lantz worked with Sherritt Gordon Mines Limited. Mr. Lantz graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1982, with a B. Sc. Honours in Earth Sciences.

Cashel Meagher
Vice President, South America Business Unit
Mr. Meagher joined Hudbay in November, 2008 and was promoted to the role of Vice President, South America in September, 2011. He has an extensive background in precious metal and base metal exploration, resource and reserve estimation, engineering studies and open pit and underground operations. Prior to joining Hudbay, Mr. Meagher held management positions with Vale Inco in exploration, technical services, business analysis and mine operations. He graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science Joint Advanced Major degree in Geology and Chemistry from Saint Francis Xavier University, and he is a member in good standing with the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario.

John Vincic
Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications
Mr. Vincic joined HudBay in August, 2009 and he brings more than 15 years of combined experience in investor relations and corporate communications to this role. In this position he is also responsible for overseeing government relations, corporate social responsibility reporting and brand management. Most recently, he worked at one of Canada's leading investor relations consulting firms where he advised a cross-section of clients on various issues including ongoing investor engagement strategies, IPO communications, mergers and acquisitions, and special situations.

Sharon Sanzo
Vice President, Human Resources
Ms. Sanzo is a Human Resources professional with over twenty years of experience in the mining, pharmaceutical and packaged goods industries. Prior to joining Hudbay, Ms. Sanzo held leadership roles in Barrick Gold, GlaxoSmithKline, Kraft, and Unilever Canada. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto, with a Bachelor of Arts specializing in Labour Relations, and is a professionally accredited Adler-Trained Coach (ATC). She is also a member in good standing of the Human Resources Professionals Association.

David Clarry
Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility
Mr. Clarry joined HudBay in 2011, bringing over 20 years experience as a consultant in the international mining and metals industry. His work has spanned environmental management and policy, mining project development, business strategy, and operations improvement. He holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in engineering from Queen’s University, a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from INSEAD, and is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario.

Hernan Soza
Vice President, Exploration
Mr. Soza joined HudBay in late 2011, bringing more than forty years of mining and mineral exploration experience across South and Central America. Prior to joining HudBay as Director, South American Exploration, he worked to advance world class deposits for Codelco, Saint Joe’s Minerals, Exxon Minerals, Anaconda Minerals and Placer Dome. Mr. Soza graduated as a geologist from the Universidad de Chile in 1968, and currently serves as the Chilean representative on the Committee for Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards (CRIRSCO).

Patrick Donnelly
Vice President, Legal and Corporate Secretary
Mr. Donnelly joined HudBay in 2008 and was appointed to his current role in December 2011. Prior to joining HudBay, he practiced corporate and securities law at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP from 2002 to 2007, where his practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and corporate governance matters. He also spent a year and half in the legal department of a TSX 60 company. Mr. Donnelly received his law degree from the University of Victoria in 1999 and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario in 1995.
